This course is designed for the perinatal nurse who has completed a Basic EFM course & is working in an Antepartum or Labor & Delivery setting. With the new format, there is some Online Learning Prerequisites to complete prior to your in person class. Please note that you will not be able to attend  class if the online portion is not completed.

The Required online prerequisite will take approximately 3.5hrs & must be completed no more than 30 days prior to the in person class. (Access to the perquisite items starts 30 days before the course date & ends 1 day before the course date.)

Learn how to introduce yourself and speak basic medical phrases in Spanish! This course is designed for the beginner or someone with 1 year or less in Spanish learning. Course Outcomes – At the completion of this course the learner will be able to:

4. Describe resources available for health care providers to learn Spanish phrases and resources for non-English speaking patients to receive translated medical information.
5. Demonstrate the use of assessment questions that stimulate a one-word or yes-no response
