The Travelers Conference (TravCon) respects and values the privacy of visitors to our website. We want you to know that we follow best practices for keeping your information safe and secure. We collect data about our visitors in order to conduct transactions, improve our users’ experiences, and keep our community informed.  This privacy policy describes how we use your information to improve your experience and how we seek to protect and secure your private information when you use our website.

Information You Provide
We collect information you provide, such as email addresses, telephone numbers, and payment information. Some of this information may be Personally Identifiable information, which means that it can be tied to a specific individual. This information is used to register for a conference, claim education credits, or sign up for an email update list.

Automatically Collected Information
We also collect other information (analytics) that allows us to track the use of our web pages, this information is not personally identifiable, and is used to improve your overall web experience.

User Provided Data
We ask you directly to provide your information when you register on our website for the conference or events, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, provide us with feedback on our services, or enter information on our website.

Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of data stored in your web browser that identify you to a server when identity is important. If you register for the conference or login to claim CEU’s, cookies are stored in your web browser for the purposes of a ‘handshake’. That is the extent to which we use cookies at this time.

TravCon has taken significant security measures at our physical and online facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you. TravCon never sells or provides its contact list to third parties (including exhibitors/sponsors). 

We never share your personally identifiable data (ie name, phone number, email etc) without your express consent (ie when you have your badge scanned by an exhibitor at a conference, or give us permission to post your review/image on our website).  We do share non-identifiable data with our exhibitors so they can be better prepared for attendees (i.e. types of disciplines, areas of work, types of specialities, etc.). We also use non-identifiable data for internal advertising purposes.

When visiting our site:
When you contact us you may provide us certain Personally Identifiable Information. We use this Information you give us, to send you the information or provide you information on the events you request. From time to time, we may also include survey forms on our site asking visitors or users for contact, demographic or other information. We may use such user Information to send you additional marketing materials about our events or other services that we provide. Except for your Personally Identifiable Information, we may use and disclose with or – without your acknowledgement or compensation to you – any information contained in your email or survey responses, including, but not limited to, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas or any other creative materials or information.

Using Our Events:
When you register for our events, you must provide certain Personally Identifiable Information for you to properly, and fully become registered at our event. We collect and store this information and any modifications that either we or you make to that information. Except as set forth in this policy, we will not reveal any such Personally Identifiable Information to any other third party without your express consent, except with our event management service who assists us in administering our events.
Furthermore, we may use, disclose or transfer certain user information 1) to provide you optional events; 2) to maintain and service our systems; 3) to provide you with billing or related services; 4) to resolve client disputes; 5) to law enforcement or other government officials if appropriate for your protection or in connection with an investigation or prosecution of possible unlawful activity; or 6) to our attorneys, accountants, or regulators for other legally permissible purposes.

We employ and maintain technology and security measures designed to protect your user information. When you submit sensitive information via our sites, that information is subject to a variety of protections, including firewalls. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your user information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or receive from us.
If, at any time, you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future update emails from TravCon, you can utilize the ‘Unsubscribe’ feature at the bottom of any of our emails, and this will remove you from all updates and notifications not related to any current event registration.
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change, we will post the policy changes on our website to notify you of these changes and provide you the opportunity to opt out of these new uses.
